Onderwerp: A Trayser in Sweden

Hello

My name is Mats Törnblom, I live in Sweden and I work as an organist in a congregation of Church of Sweden in the very south of the country.

I have a Trayser harmonium, I got if form one of those internet sites selling thing like a flea market.

I want to say thank you for your very nice web site - you have helped me to understand how the Sourdine works - for one and half year I have thought it was out of order - but when studying your page I recognized that my instrument looks the same inside - as those pics did - so I managed to read the Dutch text (it goes very slow o try to read Dutch....) and understood the mechanism - so I did open my Trayser and did open the Sourdine ventil/regulator - and nw the Sourdine works perfect!!!!! It is wonderful to have such a soft 8 feet register!!!!

I am going to let restore it, leave to an organbuilder I know, and that guy knows what a real harmonium is, so he will do a good job.

I enclose a pic I took yesterday - there my collegue stand and dig inside.... Not the pedals are covered with wall to wall carpet. It was the previous owner whd made that. Terrible!!! I will remove it, but the most important is to restore the bellows and put new skin on them. I will ask the organbuilder to take many pics during the restauration - if you want I will of course share them.
