U mag dit niet verder vertellen, dus hou het stil s.v.p. maar dat komt omdat een stevig deel van de leden ook in het herfsttij van hun leven verkeren. En voor u dit meteen aan iedereen gaat vertellen: Het jongste lid staat pas op de drempel van zijn eerste verliefdheid, nog lang geen 20 jaar. |

For the visitors of this page with no knowledge of this location, we start with some scenery. First of all you need to know that the Annual Meeting is always in Autumn. You are not allowed to spread this rumour, the reason for meeting in Autumn is because a part of the members are in Autumn's life. Before starting to boast this message: The youngest member is still waiting for his first time of falling in love. Not even close to 20 years at the moment. | ||

Altijd veilig achter een grote tafel. | The Annual Meeting starts traditionally with an official meeting of members only. In such a meeting there is always the esteemed board, safe behind a big table. | |||

Just because our royal family is filled with Williams too. We are used to it, our harmoniums have more stops than the board has Williams. |

| De foto's hierboven laten het al een beetje zien. De voorzitter mr. Eppo van Veldhuizen heeft zijn dienstjaren er op zitten. Op de foto linksboven nog de hamer stevig in de hand, op het punt de hamer over te dragen aan zijn opvolger. Een tijdperk is ten einde. Een tijdperk waar de vereniging met warme gevoelens op terugblikt. | The picture above at the left shows it. Our president mr. Eppo van Veldhuizen ( mr. is an academic title here!) has reached his retirement as a president. Still holding firm the presidential hammer, ready to transfer the hammer to the new president. An era has gone by. An era that will be remembered by the society members with empathy. | |||||
Onze scheidende voorzitter hebben we leren kennen als een fervent liefhebber van dichten en schrijven. Meermaals pareltjes van taalbeheersing. Ook muzikaal deed hij van zich spreken. Hij geneerde zich niet om middenin een vergadering voor een volle zaal uit te barsten in het zingen van gedichten door hemzelf geschreven. En Bach glimlachte. |
Our parting president has shown us to be a passionate lover of poetry and writing novellettes, short stories. Manyfold his writing was like a twinkling diamond in the seashore's sand. Also musical. He would not be too embarrassed to stand and sing a song based on a poem written by him. And Bach smiled. |

| De taalvaardigheid en de flux de bouche zal zich erfelijk tonen. De nieuwe voorzitter zal bewijzen dat ook hij de gave van het spreken heeft. In het kader van de functie als voorzitter van de HVN is het niet nodig om te memoreren waar de nieuwe voorzitter deze gave ontwikkeld heeft. Heeft iets met een lineaal van doen. Maar dat grapje wordt pas duidelijk door de engelse tekst hiernaast. Afijn, piekert u maar lekker wat zijn stiel is. | The language skills and the 'flux de bouche' shall be shown as a genetic heritage. The new president will show he also is gifted in classic rhetorica. Connected to his position as the president of HVN it is not really important to memorate where he gained and developed this skill. It has to do with a ruler. But only a part of the Dutch people will grasp this message. So we leave you to mindwrestling to find out what his position in real life is. |

| De nieuwe voorzitter zal voorzitten, daar hebben we hem voor gekozen. Maar hij doet ook nog andere dingen. Hij restaureert er lustig op los. Harmoniums bedoelen we dan. Ik begreep dat hij inmiddels al bijna net zo veel harmoniums heeft gerestaureerd als er boeken in de bijbel staan. (Tel maar na). |
The new president will be the chairman of the board at boardmeetings. That is what we elected him for. However, there is more about him. He is a passionate restorer. Of Harmoniums, of course. His trackrecord reached a number almost close to the number of books in the bible. (Go figure the numbers). |

Het spreekt vanzelf dat wij op beide vaardigheden veel van hem verwachten. Hij heeft één onvermoedde eigenschap. Hoewel, helemaal zeker weten doen we het nog niet, maar Google Earth laat zien dat hij in een wit huis woont. What's in a name, zullen we maar denken. |
It is evident that we ask him to live up to our expectations on both qualities. He seems to have a special unexpected quality. Although not yet confirmed, Google Earth shows he lives in a white house. What's in a name? |

Jan van Mol begon zijn studie aan het Damiaanscollege in Aarschot. Hij studeerde daarna aan het Lemmens Instituut in Leuven en aan het Conservatorium Antwerpen. Later was hij in Antwerpen ook docent. Hij was ook directeur van een muziekschool. Hij was jarenlang de organist van de St. Paulus kerk in Antwerpen. Hij concerteerde in binnen en buitenland. Jan van Mol was een van de eersten die het authentieke harmoniumspel op drukwind herontdekte. Hij publiceert, organiseert orgelconcerten en orgelreizen. Wat voor deze website belangrijk is: Hij speelt uitmundend harmonium. |
Sara is de dochter van Jan. Ze groeide dus op in een muzikaal nest. In Antwerpen (Conservatorium) studeerde ze orgel en piano en later zang. Na haar conservatorium opleiding volgde zij vele masterclasses van de groten der aarde. Zij heeft een grote concertpraktijk als soliste, maar neemt ook deel aan meerdere ensembles. Zij is als zangpedagoge verbonden aan de muziek academie van Lier.

Jan van Mol started his education at the Damiaan College (named after Father Damian) at Aarschot (Belgium). He continued his studies at Lemmens Institute at Louvain Belgium and the Antwerp Conservatory, where he later became a professor. He was also the CEO of a music education centre. For year he was the organist in residence at St. Paul's of Antwerp. He was a recitalist in many countries all over the globe. Jan van Mol was one of the first to rediscover authentic harmonium playing on pressure instruments. He is also a 'organizer' of concertseries, organtravels and is very active as a publicist. For this website his most important qualification is the fact that he is a eminent harmoniumplayer. |
Sara, daugher of Jan, grew in a muscial family. At the Antwerp Conservatory she studied organ and piane, and later switched to singing. After Conservatory eduction she attended many masterclasses of the greater performers of the world. She has a vast concert curriculum as a soloist, she also is a partner in multiple ensembles. She is also a music pedagogue / coach at the Music academy of Lier.
